Ringrose Park Shines with New LED Upgrade

Light Up Sports were awarded the works to design, supply, and install new LED fittings over one rugby league field at Ringrose Park, home of the famous Wenty Magpies.

With over 70,000 members, Wenty Leagues challenged us to deliver greater than 300 lux competition-standard lighting using their existing poles and cabling. The result? A shining success.

This project wasn’t straightforward. The oval stretched over 11,000m², but by using our ‘M20’ 1800W LED sports floodlights, we delivered a powerful 411 lux average with 0.62 uniformity – comfortably meeting AS2560.2.3 standards for semi-professional club competitions, match practice and training.

The upgrade involved:

• Removing outdated fittings

• Retrofitting the M20s onto existing cross arms

• Replacing cabling from the pole bases to the new fittings

• Testing and commissioning, with audit results matching the design exactly

• Installing new e-Switch lighting controller to allow for on and off-site control, administration set up and usage recording
